An afternoon with The SAA
Mid July I had a great time in the recording studio of the SAA taking part in a live stream painting demonstration. I painted a portrait using a limited palette in oils. For my first experience live in front of the cameras it all went well. The minutes slipped away and, mindful of the time,…
Face on linen (3) – first oil layers
I’ve decided to paint this portrait in oils and I’m not regretting it. I haven’t painted a great deal in oils due to the convenience of acrylics but, within minutes of putting brush to canvas, I think I’m hooked prix viagra pfizer. I’ve been using liquin to aid the flow of the oils which has…
New Year, New Goals
Well it’s been a very productive start to the week, due mainly, I think, to the simple task of setting some goals for the first quarter of this year. As a result of this, I’ve scheduled various tasks in my diary to ensure I have time to paint. ‘Obvious’ you may say; ‘been doing that…
Where to in 2019
I find the beginning of a new year the perfect time to reassess… I don’t mean make new year’s resolutions – that feels like setting myself up to fail, but I like to plan where I go from here. Christmas gives a natural break to the year – chances are I’ll have finished a number…
Happy Christmas 2016

For the daily pieces I’ve been using charcoal, it’s been the quickest and easiest medium to manage this week. Apologies for the…

Brilliant Jackie and love the skin tones. The figures look great on the Loxley Canvas.
Amazing, what a beautiful work! I saw it in Patchings and was very impressed,I love it!
Nice artwork Jackie – I’ve (accidentally) taken on role of curating art and interesting stuff for 18 month popup gallery/ artspace that opened in May at the old Cov telegraph offices&printworks in Cov city centre. Not my normal thing but I know the guy who owns the site and hadca bit of spare time so offered to try and turn it into something groovy while it was sitting empty waiting for him to get cash /time to redevelop properly. So.. if you’ve any art or prep sketches (anything interesting basically) drop me a note and I’ll sort you some freebie gallery space as we’ve acres of it.
Many thanks for this Alan. I’ll message you
